Mefar2000
Class IIa medical device.Intended to be used for the administration of drugs in aerosol form to the patient. The administration must be subject to a medical prescription that defines the type of drug, the doses to be administered and the duration of the treatment.
How to use
To avoid risks of microbial contamination, the components must be cleaned and disinfected, after each therapy and before use, carefully following the instructions listed.
Cleaning
The ampoule, mouthpiece and nosepiece with the connector must be washed with warm water using a little non-abrasive detergent and rinsed under running water. When all the parts have been cleaned they can be dried with a soft cloth or a hair dryer and then they can be stored.
Disinfection
The ampoule, the mouthpiece, the nosepiece with the connector and the end of the tube, after being washed, can be immersed in a cold disinfectant solution (such as a 5.25% sodium hypochlorite solution), following the instructions given by the manufacturer (be careful to read the warnings, checking that the disinfectant solution is compatible with the material the kit is made of). It is possible to disinfect the components of the kit, except for the end of the tube, by boiling them in water for 10 minutes.
Sterilization
Sterilization . possible for the components of the kit with the exception of the tube end in an autoclave at 121°C for a time of 15 min. (preferably not exceeding 30 min.).
