Organic blend of cereals (puffed, crispy, and flaked) and honey with dark chocolate and chopped almonds.
Alce Nero granolas are made from various cereals obtained through different technological processes: the oats are flaked, the spelt is puffed, and the crispy rice is made from rice flour after a cooking process.
· Oat flakes: obtained from organic oat grains that are first cleaned, then steamed, and finally flattened.
· Puffed spelt: obtained through a pressure process on the spelt grain that causes the water contained in the spelt to evaporate. The evaporation of water, through pressure, causes the expansion of the grain, resulting in a very soft and light product.
· Crispy rice: obtained from organic rice flour mixed with water and subjected to a cooking process. The dough then passes through a die that gives it the shape of rice. The high cooking pressures and subsequent toasting result in a very crispy product.
The different cereals thus obtained are first mixed, without the addition of vegetable oils. In the next phase, a hot mixture composed simply of water and wildflower honey is poured over them. The dough thus generated is then baked in the oven to make the product delicately crumbly. Finally, 60% dark chocolate flakes and chopped peeled almonds are added.
