Description
Food for special medical purposes.
The low-protein toasted bread, from the APROTEN product line, is characterized by: low protein, sodium, phosphorus and potassium content, which make it suitable for the dietary management of renal failure (nephropathy); low tyrosine and phenylalanine content, which make it suitable for the dietary management of metabolic aminoacidopathies (phenylketonuria, tyrosinemia); low protein content, which make it suitable for the dietary management of Parkinson's disease (in therapy with Levodopa). For patients undergoing therapy with Levodopa, the degree of any dysphagia and any malnutrition problems due to deficiency that may arise in conditions of protein restriction must be assessed.
Ingredients
Deglutinated wheat starch, rice starch, non-hydrogenated vegetable margarine (refined palm oil, water), honey (8%); thickeners: carob seed flour, guar gum; yeast; emulsifiers: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids; stabilizer: sorbitol; inulin.
May contain traces of milk, eggs, nuts, soy, lupin and sesame seeds .
