Description
Temporary fixation of bridges, crowns, pin teeth and capsules made of any type of material, on prepared teeth and implants. For simplicity, the instructions use the word capsule to indicate all the elements for which it is necessary to use Pontefix. The original formula of Pontefix has made it possible to use zinc oxyphosphate for temporary fixations.
- Pontefix maintains the characteristics of a permanent fixing unchanged.
- Pontefix does not damage the capsules in any case.
- Pontefix does not affect the subsequent definitive intervention of the dentist.
- The product is disposable.
How to use
Carefully remove any residual material inside the capsule using a sharp object. Then complete the cleaning with cotton wool soaked in alcohol.
Place the cotton roll between the gum and the cheek, near the tooth or implant on which the fixing is to be performed.
Check which is the correct direction of the capsule to place it directly on the tooth.
Open the powder jar and add all the liquid contained in the single-dose vial.
Mix with the spatula until the mixture becomes smooth (about 20/30 seconds).
Caution: the compound hardens in about 2 minutes; therefore it is necessary to proceed quickly.
To use the product in high temperature conditions (above 28°C-30°C) it is recommended to mix the components in a cool, shaded place as it may harden more quickly.
Using the spatula, fill the capsule halfway with the compound. (In the case of a stump pin (Richmond Crown) detachment, the compound must be applied directly onto the pin.
Insert the cap onto the tooth in the correct position.
Remove the cotton roll previously inserted between the cheek and the gum and place it over the fixed capsule.
Clench your teeth for about five minutes.
Once fixed, remove any excess compound that has come out of the capsule.
Warnings
Despite its excellent resistance, Pontefix does not eliminate the causes that led to the detachment of the prosthesis. If the problem persists, it is advisable to contact your dentist.
The compound contained is sufficient to fix one to four capsules at the same time.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place.
