Cardiac function: EPA and DHA contribute to normal cardiac function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.
Brain function: DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
Vision: DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.
Pregnancy: Maternal intake of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contributes to the normal development of the eyes in the fetus and breastfed infants.
