Description
Sterile saline solution, with physiological pH, for ocular and periocular use. OcchioBello is a valuable aid for the removal of periocular and ocular secretions in newborns from the first days of life, infants and children (from 0 to 6 years of age). The product can also be used by children over 6 years of age, adolescents, adults and elderly people, even when wearing soft contact lenses.
Instillation of OcchioBello softens and washes away secretions present on the ocular surface, in the conjunctival fornices and on the eyelid margin. OcchioBello has a diluting, decongestant and moisturizing action by increasing tear volume.

Directions for use
- Wash and dry hands thoroughly before use.
- Open the protective aluminum pouch.
- Detach one single-dose vial from the strip.
- If the product is intended for use on children, in case of storage at a temperature below 15 °C, hold the vial between your hands for a few moments to bring the product to room temperature to avoid an unpleasant sensation of cold for the child.
- Twist and remove the cap to break the seal.
- Replace the cap, making sure to place it on a clean surface.
- The content of one 0.5 ml vial is sufficient for cleaning both eyes. After use, immediately close the single-dose container with the appropriate cap.
- To close the single-dose container, the cap must first be twisted.
- For rinsing the periocular area instead of conventional moist or soaked wipes: pour 4-5 drops of solution onto a sterile gauze and use it to immediately and gently clean the area around the eyes, removing any secretions. Avoid rubbing vigorously but soften dry secretions with the soaked gauze until they can be removed. Use a different gauze for each eye.
- For rinsing the eye: gently press the body of the single-dose vial and dispense 1-2 drops to instill in each eye; the blinking resulting from the increased volume of tear fluid allows the product to wash the surface of the eye, removing foreign particles along with excess fluid.
- To relieve discomfort or redness: instill 1-2 drops in each eye. Between uses, store unopened vials in the aluminum pouch until the contents of the pouch are finished.
- The product is for single use. Any residual solution in the vial after use for instillation or for soaking gauze must be discarded.
- In case of instillation of the product to relieve discomfort or redness in adults, the use of the residue within 12 hours after opening the vial is not contraindicated, provided the container is properly reclosed with the appropriate cap. Avoid allowing the cap to come into contact with other surfaces that could contaminate it and make it a vehicle for microbes capable of contaminating the solution once the vial is reclosed.

Components
Sodium chloride (0.82%), vitamin E TPGS, distilled water of Echinacea pallida, distilled water of Euphrasia, zinc sulfate heptahydrate, citric acid monohydrate, trisodium citrate dihydrate, water for injections.

Warnings
The product is for ophthalmic and periocular use only.
The product is for single-patient use.
Do not use the product if the aluminum pouch or the packaging appears damaged or not properly closed upon first opening.
Do not use the product if there are visible particles and/or changes in the color of the solution.
During instillation, do not touch the eye or other surfaces with the dispensing tip of the vial.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.
In case of adverse effects, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
Do not use the product in case of known incompatibility with even a single component of the formulation and/or Asteraceae plants and/or Orobanchaceae plants.
No interactions with drugs or other eye drops are reported; in any case, allow at least 15 minutes before administering any other eye drops.
Dispose of the product according to local waste management regulations.
Keep out of reach of children.
Before opening the vial for administering the drops, it is advisable to thoroughly clean your hands.
Consult your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
For external use, do not swallow.

Storage
Store in a dry place, away from heat sources, and direct exposure to sunlight, at a temperature between 2 °C and 30 °C.
Store unused single-dose vials in the aluminum pouch.
