PONTEFIX BRIDGE FIXING SET FIMO
PONTEFIX
Description
Temporary fixative for bridges, crowns, post-and-core teeth, and caps made of any material, on prepared teeth and implants. For simplicity, the instructions use the word "cap" to refer to all elements for which Pontefix must be used. Pontefix's original formula has made it possible to use zinc oxyphosphate for temporary fixations.
- Pontefix maintains the characteristics of a definitive fixation.
- Pontefix does not damage the caps in any way.
- Pontefix does not compromise the dentist's subsequent definitive intervention.
- The product is single-use.
Instructions for use
Carefully remove any residual material from inside the cap using a pointed object. Then complete the cleaning with cotton wool soaked in alcohol.
Place the cotton roll between the gum and the cheek, near the tooth or implant where the fixation is to be performed.
Check the correct orientation of the cap before placing it directly on the tooth.
Open the powder jar and add all the liquid contained in the single-dose vial.
Mix with the spatula until a homogeneous compound is obtained (approximately 20/30 seconds).
Caution: the compound hardens in about 2 minutes; therefore, it is necessary to proceed quickly.
To use the product in high-temperature conditions (above 28 °C-30 °C), it is advisable to mix the components in a cool, shaded place as it may harden faster.
Using the spatula, fill the cap halfway with the compound. (In case of a Richmond crown detachment, the compound should be applied directly to the post.
Insert the cap onto the tooth in the correct position.
Remove the cotton roll previously inserted between the cheek and the gum and place it over the fixed cap.
Clench teeth for about five minutes.
Once fixed, remove any excess compound that has extruded from the cap.
Warnings
Despite its excellent resistance, Pontefix does not eliminate the causes that led to the detachment of the prosthesis. If the problem persists, it is advisable to consult your dentist.
The contained compound is sufficient to fix one to four caps simultaneously.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place.
