URINOCOL ADHESIVE BAG FOR URINE COLLECTION WITHOUT DRAIN VALVE FOR GIRLS 1 PIECE ITEM 7559
Urinecol
Medical device CE 0123 class I, sterile single use, ethylene oxide sterilization method. Urinocol is a latex-free and PVC-free urine collection bag for newborns and premature babies. The closed bag is particularly suitable for the simple collection of urine samples for subsequent laboratory analysis. The open bag allows the management of diuresis for several hours. Thanks to the double discharge connection, it is possible to proceed with the rapid collection of urine even during the management of diuresis. Available in versions for male or female, with or without discharge valve. This device can be connected to the cone of a syringe, to perform urine sampling in optimal hygienic conditions, to avoid possible contamination. It can also be connected to an external collection bag equipped with a connection cone. The bag is made of a sheet of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and is heat-sealed on the edges, in order to guarantee its seal. The plastic discharge device allows it to be connected to common collection devices or to a syringe for any samples. The hypoallergenic adhesive is completely latex-free and guarantees optimal adhesion to the skin while allowing for atraumatic removal. It has high skin tolerability. It is recommended to replace it every 12 hours while the maximum recommended retention time is 48 hours. If the bag is used for urine collection and for biochemical, cytological or bacterial tests, leave the bag in place for no more than 30 minutes in order to avoid possible contamination of the urine (false positives). How to use
Make sure the size of the bag is appropriate for the weight of the child.
Wash your hands thoroughly.
Lay the baby on his back with his legs apart.
Clean the skin with water and appropriate detergents. Use antiseptic solutions only if necessary. The skin must be dry, not covered with creams or powders and must not present any irritation.
Detach and discard the center disk.
Gently and completely remove the liner that protects the sticker.
Apply the bag around the genitals, massaging gently to achieve complete adhesion.
For bags with a discharge device: Before application, make sure that the discharge device is closed. The closure device has been specifically designed to:
- direct sampling with a syringe.
- Connection for all types of fittings.
To remove the bag, lift one corner and gently peel off.
To prevent the collected urine from leaking out, adhere the two edges of the adhesive together and possibly reinforce with a plaster.
To correctly perform biochemical, cytological or bacteriological tests, avoid leaving the bag in for more than 30 minutes, in order to avoid possible contamination of the urine (false positives). Use a new bag even if the one in use is empty. Send the urine to the analysis laboratory within 2 hours of collection. If this is not possible, the sample must be stored in a refrigerator for no more than 12 hours. Indicate the collection time on the bag.
Depending on the amount of urine produced, replace the bag when necessary: replace if it is poorly adhesive or if there are defects.
