BLADDER CATHETER CD 12disposable sterile self-lubricating bladder catheter for intermittent catheterization. The use of this catheter is indicated in cases of urinary retention. The catheter is designed for connection to urine collection bags.
The catheter is particularly suitable for emptying the bladder in patients who are unable to urinate spontaneously. It is easy and non-traumatic to use, and therefore also suitable for those who have a permanent need to use this type of aid.
Characteristics:
disposable sterile self-lubricating bladder catheter for intermittent catheterization. The catheter is already immersed in sterile saline solution to activate the lubricating coating.
The catheter packaging (blister type) allows the opened package to be placed on a horizontal surface without any liquid leaking out.
The SpeediCath Control catheter has a wider and more flexible section proximal to the connector, which allows for effective control during the insertion phase of the catheter into the urethra. This section is 8 cm long and has a diameter of 16 Cherrier, while the rest of the catheter body has a diameter of 12 Cherrier. The possible introduction of the wider part does not create problems for the urethra, as the urethral meatus has a diameter greater than 20 Cherrier.
It is made of PU (polyurethane).
The catheter has a hydrophilic PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone) coating.
The liquid in which the catheter is immersed is 0.9% sterile saline solution, with the addition of 6% PVP. The connector is made of PU.
Warnings:
We recommend storing in the original intact packaging, away from light and humidity, at a constant temperature between 15° and 30°.
The product does not contain Ecotoxic components therefore does not require special disposal protocols. Do not disperse in the environment as it is not Biodegradable.
