LOFRIC CH10 SELF-LUBRICATING HYDROPHILIC URINARY CATHETER FOR MEN NELATON TIP 40CM 30 PIECES DENTSPLY SIRONA
DENTSPLY LOFRIC
Lofric
Description
Medical device for short and long-term bladder management with intermittent urinary catheterization.
LoFric is a hydrophilic, disposable, self-lubricating urinary catheter.
The surface of the catheter is made with Urotonic Surface Technology: the combination of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and salt (NaCl) together with the addition of water, makes the coating of the LoFric catheter isotonic with urine, after activation.
All LoFric catheters can be connected to standard urine collection bags.
How to use
1. Wash your hands with soap and water before catheterization.
2. To open the package, remove the tabs on the side of the connector.
3. Fill the package with clean running water if at home and with sterile water or saline solution in hospital.
Soak the catheter for 30 seconds before use.
4. As you prepare for catheterization, remove the sticker and use self-adhesive tape to secure the product to a dry surface.
5. Remove the catheter.
WOMAN
6. Spread the labia and locate the urethra just above the vaginal opening. With the other hand, slowly insert the catheter into the urethra.
7. When urine begins to flow, advance the catheter slightly to ensure that both holes are inside the bladder.
8. When urine flow stops, gently pull the catheter out a little. If urine starts flowing again, stop pulling and wait until the flow stops, to ensure complete emptying of the bladder. Then remove the catheter.
9. Place the catheter back in the packaging and dispose of it appropriately (local regulations may vary).
MAN
6. Lift the penis towards the stomach to straighten the urethra.
Slowly insert the catheter into the urethra without touching it with your fingers. When urine begins to flow, advance the catheter slightly to ensure that both holes are inside the bladder.
7. Lower the penis when urine begins to flow through the catheter.
Tiemann Catheter Instructions: Special instructions for the Tiemann catheter with a slightly curved tip. A special technique is required when using a Tiemann/Coude.
Please contact your healthcare professional for training and advice.
1. Before inserting the catheter, note where the marking is located on the connector in relation to the curved tip.
It will act as a reference to maintain the correct direction of the curved tip during use.
2. Keep the curved tip pointing upward toward the stomach during insertion and throughout the catheterization procedure, including removal. Or follow the specific instructions given by your healthcare professional.
Warnings
For single use only.
Once used, the surface coating deteriorates and is no longer sterile.

Urinary catheterization therapy is associated with an increased risk of bleeding, trauma, and/or urinary tract infection.
LoFric catheters are to be used exclusively following a medical prescription.
Follow the instructions and advice of your healthcare professional.
Contact your doctor if you experience any difficulties.
