Herbal massage oil.The daily practice of Ayurvedic massage, or abhyanga, is one of the most important strategies for health and prevention. According to Ayurveda, it has a calming effect on both the nervous and endocrine systems. It helps remove toxins, improve circulation, increase flexibility of muscles, tissues and organs, and creates soft, glowing skin.
Vata, Pitta and Kapha herbalized oils, chosen according to one's physiology and the season, offer effects that balance specific constitutions.
Vata massage oil for normal skin that tends to be dry.
How to use
For the massage it is always better to use the palm of the hand rather than the fingers and to massage the head and the soles of the feet longer than the rest of the body:
- fill the palms of your hands with oil and massage your head vigorously;
- then massage the face and ears, forehead and neck more delicately;
- apply more oil to the rest of the body and start with the arms, hands and fingers. The massage should be done from the center outwards with straight strokes on the long bones and circular strokes on the joints. The massage should also be circular in the heart area, on the breasts and on the abdomen (always clockwise);
- finally massage the back, lumbar area, legs and feet.
