Acufen forte is indicated as an adjuvant treatment in subjects with cerebrovascular disorders and conditions that involve alterations to the auditory system, such as tinnitus and hearing loss. Citicoline helps promote the synthesis of phospholipids and lecithin, increase blood flow in the cerebral microcirculation and correct the altered blood lipoprotein profile. Ubiquinol, a bioavailable metabolite of coenzyme Q10, has antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing properties, thus helping to preserve cell integrity.
