Macrogol
Description
Medical device.
Symptomatic treatment of constipation. It promotes peristalsis, helping to have an adequate intestinal evacuation, thus counteracting constipation and preventing the formation of fecalomas.
Macrogol is a high molecular weight, water-soluble inert polymer that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake, retaining it in the feces. It determines a rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electrolytic imbalances, if taken with the indicated dose of liquid.
Suitable for adults and children over 12 years old.
How to use
Take 1 to 4 sachets per day. Dissolve in water or other liquid (125 ml per sachet) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning, if the minimum dose is to be taken (1 sachet per day). For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening.
The dose should be increased or decreased according to the individual response to treatment, in order to allow regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 4 sachets per day.
If you do not notice any improvement after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Warnings
Administration in children must be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult.
Do not use if package is opened or damaged.
Consult your doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The product may reduce the time spent in the intestine and therefore the absorption of oral medications. It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor in case of concomitant intake of oral medications, which must in any case be administered at least two hours apart.
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources.
The expiry date refers to the product when stored correctly.
