Medical device.
Symptomatic treatment of constipation. It promotes peristalsis, helping to have an adequate intestinal evacuation, thus counteracting constipation and preventing the formation of fecalomas.
Macrogol is a high molecular weight, water-soluble inert polymer that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake, retaining it in the feces. It determines a rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electrolytic imbalances, if taken with the indicated dose of liquid.
How to use
Use the measuring cup included in the package to measure the powder: fill it level and not pressed, then remove the excess quantity of product with the blade of a knife.
- Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 to 10 level measuring spoons per day. The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 10 measuring spoons per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml for each measuring spoon) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose (2 measuring spoons per day) is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening. If no improvement is noted after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
- Children aged 6 months to 12 years: the dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 4 measuring spoons per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml for each measuring spoon) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if 1 measuring spoon per day is required. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening. If no improvement is noted after 7 days of treatment, it is advisable to consult your doctor.

Warnings
Administration in children must be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult. It is recommended to use the product in pediatric age after consulting the doctor

Consult your doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The product may reduce the time spent in the intestine and therefore the absorption of oral medications. It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor in case of concomitant intake of oral medications, which must in any case be administered at least 2 hours apart.
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not take if:
- known hypersensitivity to one or more components;
- intestinal perforation, obstruction or stenosis;
- paralytic ileus;
- severe inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon).
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in cases of acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin, and in cases of severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal disturbances (stomach ache, flatulence, abdominal swelling, nausea and fecal incontinence) may occur.
Diarrhea is a secondary effect of taking excessive doses of Sanipeg and can be avoided by reducing the dose.
Cases of hypersensitivity reaction (skin rash) have been reported rarely following the use of products containing macrogol. In this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources. Close the container tightly after use.
