StitiCol
Description
Symptomatic treatment of constipation. It promotes peristalsis, helping to have an adequate intestinal evacuation, thus counteracting constipation and preventing the formation of fecalomas.
Ingredients
Macrogol 4000, sucralose.
Gluten and lactose free.
How to use
Suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 to 4 sachets per day.
The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 4 sachets per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (125 ml for each sachet) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose (1 sachet per day) is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening.
If you do not notice any improvement after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
Warnings
Administration in children must be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult.
Consult your doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
Do not use if package is opened or damaged.
The product may reduce the time spent in the intestine and therefore the absorption of oral medications. It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor in case of concomitant intake of oral medications, which must in any case be administered at least 2 hours apart.
The product may have a potential interaction effect when used with starch-based food thickeners. Macrogol counteracts the thickening effect of starch, liquefying preparations that should instead remain thick to allow intake by people with swallowing problems.
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
Do not take Stiticol Powder Sachets in case of:
- known hypersensitivity to one or more components;
- paralytic ileus;
- intestinal perforation, obstruction or stenosis;
- severe inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon).
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in cases of acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin, and in cases of severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal disorders may occur (stomach ache, flatulence, abdominal swelling, nausea and fecal incontinence). Diarrhea is a secondary effect of taking excessive doses of Stiticol Sachets Powder and can be avoided by reducing the intake dose.
Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have been reported rarely following the use of products containing Macrogol. In this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. The expiry date refers to the product properly stored.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources.
