Non-absorbent litter beadsfor the collection of feline urine.
Pearl litter for feline urine collection
The product allows a quick, simple and completely painless collection (avoids the use of a bladder catheter) of your cat's urine. It is sufficient to use the product as a normal hygienic sand, pouring the entire contents into the litter box after having emptied and cleaned it.
The product pearls are designed not to absorb urine which, settling on the bottom, can be easily collected using the pipette and stored in the appropriate test tube included in the package.
Read the instructions and warnings carefully
A) Empty the litter box of the hygienic sand used daily.
B) Clean the litter box thoroughly using hot water and detergent to eliminate any impurities and reduce the risk of contamination.
C) Remove the non-sterile test tube and pipette from the bag.
D) Pour the entire contents of the bag into the litter box.
E) Put the litter box back in its usual place.
As soon as the cat has urinated, it is necessary to proceed immediately with the collection in the following way:
Tilt the litter box to one side (image 1) so as to collect the urine in one corner, proceed with the collection using the pipette contained in the package, taking care to touch only the urine with the tip (to reduce the risk of contamination) and trying to collect as much liquid as possible.
Once collected, place the sample liquid in the test tube provided (image 2), closing it carefully.
It is recommended to mark the sample with the date of collection and the name of the owner.
Warnings
To ensure the safety of the results, it is recommended that after evacuation, the sample be collected and delivered to the veterinarian or analysis laboratory as quickly as possible.
If feces are present, remove them before proceeding with urine collection to avoid contamination.
It is possible to store the sample in the refrigerator for a short period (maximum 1/2 days).
