Description
Tear substitute based on cross-linked hyaluronic acid sodium salt and carboxymethyl beta-glucan, without preservatives, which protects, hydrates and lubricates the ocular surface.
Cross-linked sodium hyaluronic acid, thanks to its reticular structure, guarantees greater hydration and viscoelasticity, high stability of the tear film and remains on the ocular surface for a long time.
Carboxymethyl beta-glucan, in addition to increasing the lubricating capacity of the product, counteracts oxidative stress from free radicals and assists the reorganization of corneal cells.
The OSD (Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser) technology, a new drop dispensing system, allows for the absolute sterility of the product, without the use of preservatives.
Elastar Ophthalmic Solution is indicated for the treatment of symptoms (dry eyes, foreign body sensation, etc.) associated with:
- dry eye;
- mechanical stress: use of contact lenses, surgical procedures, etc.;
- systemic pathologies: Sjogren's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, liver disease, etc.;
- hormonal changes: menopause, hormone replacement therapies, etc.;
- environmental stress: air conditioning, cigarette smoke, wind, etc.;
- visual stress: use of video terminals;
- use of drugs: antidepressants, beta-blockers, prostaglandins, etc.
The product can be used by contact lens wearers.
How to use
It is not necessary to remove contact lenses before using Elastar Ophthalmic Solution.
Wash your hands thoroughly before using the product. Instill 1-2 drops in each eye 2-3 times a day or as directed by your doctor. Be careful not to let the tip of the bottle come into contact with your eye.
Components
Cross-linked hyaluronic acid sodium salt 0.15%, carboxymethyl beta-glucan 0.3%, buffered isotonic solution pH 7.2.
Warnings
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor.
For ophthalmic use only, do not swallow.
Do not use the product if the packaging is not intact.
Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package
Do not use the product in case of known hypersensitivity to the components of the product.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Conservation
Do not use the product after 90 days of opening.
Close the bottle tightly after use, store at room temperature and away from heat sources.
Validity after opening: 3 months.
