As an immune system tonic, astragalus appears to have a continuous and long-lasting effect.
Astragalus not only reduces the duration and severity of symptoms in the acute treatment of colds, but is also able to increase the number of white blood cells in chronic leukopenia.
In addition to its immunostimulant activity, astragalus root has numerous other activities: it has a positive inotropic cardiotonic, hepatoprotective, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect.
It is also able to increase adrenocortical functionality and therefore raise the threshold of resistance to stress factors.
Contraindications:
hypersensitivity to the individual components.
