Description
Food for special medical purposes based on butyric acid, prebiotics, and microencapsulated probiotics.
The product is formulated so that its sequential intake provides added value to the integration of butyric acid and microencapsulated probiotics.
Butyric acid is indicated in cases of increased need or reduced intake of this nutrient.
Prebiotics and probiotics promote the balance of intestinal flora.
Indicated for the dietary management of colonopathies with altered mucosal trophism. Each package contains two distinct blisters:
– blue blister: 10 coated tablets; the tablets contain butyric acid and G.S.E. (Grapefruit Seed Extract). The gastro-resistant coating of the tablets allows them to dissolve in the colon, resulting in the prolonged release of butyric acid. The "prolonged release" of butyric acid in ColonLife is covered by a patent;
– red blister: 10 capsules; the capsules contain probiotic strains (BR 03; LP 01; LRE 02) and FOS (fructooligosaccharides). These active ingredients promote the balance of intestinal flora. The probiotic strains are microencapsulated, which protects them from gastric acidity.
The separate or sequential administration of butyric acid, G.S.E., probiotic strains, and FOS in ColonLife is covered by a patent.

Ingredients
Blue blister: calcium butyrate; stabilizers: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids; bulking agent: cellulose; grapefruit seed powder d.e. (Citrus x paradasi Macfad), film coating (coating agents: anionic methacrylate copolymer, talc, triethyl citrate); anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids.
Red blister:
- powder: fructooligosaccharides, Bifidobacterium breve BR03 (DSM 16604), Lactobacillus plantarum LP01 (LMG P-21021), Lactobacillus reuteri LRE02 (DSM 23878);
Capsule: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC).

Gluten-free.
Lactose-free.

Directions for use
The use of ColonLife must always be supervised by the treating physician, both in terms of method of use and duration.
It is recommended to take ColonLife according to the following sequential scheme, unless otherwise medically indicated:
– for the first ten days, 1 tablet in the morning (blue blister);
– for the subsequent ten days, 1 capsule in the morning (red blister).
The sequential use regimen can last between 2 and 12 months.
It is recommended to take the tablets and capsules whole, away from meals and under medical supervision.

Warnings
ColonLife must be used under medical supervision. The product is indicated for the dietary management of colonopathies with altered mucosal trophism and should not be used for other and different dietary supplementation needs. The product cannot be used as the sole source of nutrition. Keep out of reach of children. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
The product contains live probiotic microorganisms sensitive to heat. The expiry date refers to the product in intact packaging and correctly stored.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Shelf life in unopened packaging: 24 months.
