GLYCEROL
Description
Medical device based on glycerol, chamomile, and mallow, for single-use rectal microenema, indicated to facilitate evacuation in cases of constipation. It is also suitable for children.
Glycerol has a mechanical laxative action due to its mechanism of drawing water into the faeces, softening them and causing peristalsis and bowel evacuation.
Indicated for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation.
Instructions for use
Remove the cannula cap by bending it at the base. Lubricate with a drop of the same solution. Insert the cannula into the rectum and press the bulb. Remove while pressing and discard.
1 microenema as needed, for a maximum of 1 or 2 administrations per day.
Warnings
Do not use if there is hypersensitivity or individual allergy to one or more components. In case of persistent constipation, it is important to consult a doctor to rule out other pathologies. The microenema is for single use, therefore it should not be reused if only half is administered. Keep out of reach of children. Laxatives should be used as infrequently as possible and for no longer than seven days. Use for longer periods requires a doctor's prescription after adequate evaluation of the individual case. For episodes of constipation, it is advisable first to correct dietary habits by supplementing the daily diet with an adequate intake of fibre and water. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this product. No studies are available on the use of the product during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Storage
Store at room temperature, away from heat sources and protected from direct light.
