Laxative indicated in the treatment of occasional and chronic constipation in adults, adolescents and children.
It is based on polyethylene glycol (PEG) and Psyllium. The association of these substances, in the presence of liquids, mechanically exerts a laxative effect due to the increase in fecal volume. The physiological consequence is a better propulsive advancement in the colon of softened feces and an facilitation of defecation.
No preservatives. No gluten.

Ingredients
Polyethylene glycol; psyllium seeds (Plantago psyllium) husk; guar gum; citric acid; orange flavouring; silicon dioxide; sweeteners: sorbitol, acesulfame K, sucralose.

How to use
• Adults: 2 sachets per day, preferably morning and evening.
• Children and adolescents aged 6 to 14 years: 1 sachet per day.
Open a sachet and pour the contents into a drinking glass (200 ml). Fill with natural water (not carbonated). Mix well for about 10 seconds and drink immediately after diluting the powder. Any increase in consistency of the solution is a characteristic of the product. In order to obtain an optimal result, it is recommended to drink 1-2 glasses of water afterwards. It can be taken at any time of the day, at least half an hour before bedtime.
In general, the duration of treatment is about 2 weeks. If your constipation is caused by a disease such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis or if you are taking other products that cause constipation, your doctor may recommend taking the product for a longer period than 2 weeks. Generally in long-term treatment the dose is 1 sachet per day.

When it should not be used
Do not use in case of:
• esophageal or gastrointestinal strictures;
• blockage of the intestine (intestinal obstruction, ileus);
• perforation of the intestinal wall;
• serious bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon;
• individual hypersensitivity to one of the components of the product.

Interactions with other products
Due to the increase in the speed of gastrointestinal transit induced by the product, there is a possibility that its use in conjunction with other products or drugs may temporarily reduce intestinal absorption. In addition, Psyllium seeds may enhance the effect of hypocholesterolemic and hypoglycemic products or drugs. Therefore, in such circumstances it is advisable to take the product at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking such products or drugs; in any case, it is advisable to consult your doctor.

Side effects
The medical device is usually well tolerated since its mechanism of action is physical/mechanical and does not depend on systemic absorption.
While taking it, you may experience side effects such as indigestion, stomach pain or rumbling, bloating, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, anal irritation and mild diarrhea. These effects improve by reducing the dose. In case of allergic reactions, you should stop taking it and contact your doctor. If you experience any side effects, inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings
Safety of use during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been demonstrated. In such circumstances, consult your doctor.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Avoid contact with eyes.

Storage and expiry
The expiration date is indicated on the package and on the sachet; it refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored. Do not use after this date or if the package is opened or damaged.
Store the device tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat.
