Description

Short, open-front articulated knee brace.
Low profile external polycentric joints, Drytex fabric.
Stop at 10° in extension, other applicable stops for ext/flex on request.

Mild to moderate ligament instability, senile knee pathology, chondromalacia. Ideal for elderly patients in the post-operative period after knee replacement.

How to use
Untie and loosen the straps at the thigh and calf.
Bring the brace into position on your leg by pulling it from the loops at the top of the hinged rods. If using the Wraparound version, simply wrap it around your leg, securing the brace to the front of your leg. Position the brace so that the hinges are parallel to each other and the top of the circular grooves are aligned with the top of your knee.
Fasten the lower calf strap first, then fasten the upper thigh strap.
ACL POSITIONING KNEE BRACE VERSION ONLY
Bending your knee at a 45° angle, push both hinges toward the back of your leg, as shown in the figure. Holding the hinges in place, secure the lower thigh strap. Then secure the upper calf strap. PCL POSITIONING KNEE SUPPORT VERSION ONLY
Holding the hinges in place, fasten the upper calf strap. Before fastening the front thigh strap, bring the hinges forward slightly. Make sure that the hinges do not go beyond the midline of the leg. POSITIONING OF THE KNEE BRACE AND WRAPAROUND VERSIONS
Bending your knee at a 45° angle, push both hinges toward the back of your leg, as shown in the figure. Holding the hinges in place, secure the lower thigh strap and upper calf strap to the back of your leg.

Maintenance and use
If during use it is necessary to re-tighten the straps, tighten them according to the procedure described in the instructions. Straps and pads should be adjusted to the physical characteristics of the patient's limb. The brace may be soaked in fresh or salt water. If soaked in fresh or salt water, shake off excess water and rinse in clean water, then air dry. Hand wash in cold water (86°F/30°C) with a mild detergent. Air dry only. The hinge mechanism does not require special maintenance during normal use. However, the application of a dry lubricant, such as Teflon spray, to the internal hinge mechanisms is recommended. Dry lubricants are recommended after use in water. Periodically check the hinge screws and tighten as necessary.

Loss of circulation, discomfort experienced by the patient, and re-injury to the patient are potential effects of device malfunction. ROM settings should not be changed without the supervision of a physician. This product must be prescribed and applied by a healthcare professional. Frequency and duration of use should be determined by the healthcare professional. If you experience pain, swelling, changes in sensation, or other unusual reactions while using the product, contact your physician immediately. The support should be snug but should not impede circulation. Do not use on open wounds. Do not use the device if it is damaged and/or the package has been opened.
It is not recommended to wear functional knee sleeves over clothing. For information regarding limitations in social and recreational activities, please consult a licensed healthcare professional.
