Description
Compound that adheres to the vaginal wall to help reduce vaginal infections and protect the vagina from infections (including Gardnerella vaginalis infections) through a barrier effect. Contains Polycarbophil (mucoadhesive) and lauryl glucoside. Polybactum has no harmful effects on the natural vaginal flora. In women with bacterial vaginosis, Polybactum aims to prevent the relapse of bacterial vaginosis. Polybactum is safe for vaginal lactobacilli, the healthy physiological vaginal flora.
Composition
C12-C18 glycerides, polycarbophil, lauryl glucoside.
How to use
Each ovule must be inserted deep into the vagina.
After proper treatment of acute bacterial vaginosis, use Polybactum as follows:
-3 ovules (1 every 3 days) per week.
When necessary, wait until the end of the menstrual cycle;
-repeat this treatment for 2 subsequent cycles (3 cycles in total).
In case of pregnancy, start using Polybactum immediately after treatment of the acute phase.
Warnings
Product for vaginal use only.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more substances contained in the product.
In case of unexpected reaction, stop administration and contact a doctor.
Do not use with other vaginal treatments.
Polybactum can be used during pregnancy but should be discontinued after mucosal rupture.
To avoid any interaction with other medicines, you must inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other treatments you are taking.
Do not use if box is damaged.
Do not use the product if expired.
The use of condoms is permitted during treatment.
The use of spermicidal substances and the diaphragm are not recommended as the risk of rendering the contraceptive method inactive cannot be excluded.
Keep out of reach of children.
Keep the blister in its original box.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light.
