Description
Baby Bell is an on-board child alert system that reminds parents to take their child out of the car as soon as the engine is turned off. It consists of an acoustic and visual display and a detection pad that fits under the seat cushion.
Baby Bell has two functions:
- when the car is turned off, Baby Bell immediately emits an audible alarm, the display turns red and flashes, warning the driver that the child is still in the seat;
- if the child is not sitting correctly in the seat, Baby Bell emits 3 alarm BEEPS and the display turns red.
Made by Steelmate, a leading company in the production of car sensors, Baby Bell was designed in line with the principle of law 117 1/10/2018, which requires a device to prevent abandonment: the alert function is activated as soon as the car is turned off and helps to remember that the child is still in the seat. To ensure maximum effectiveness, safety and full compliance with the mandate of the law and with the indications of the main manufacturers of car seats (hearing in the Senate of 17/09/2018) Baby Bell does not require an app or a telephone connection or Bluetooth. It is a wireless device that can be installed immediately.
How to use
To install it, simply insert the display into the cigarette lighter socket and place the mat sensor under the seat padding. When the car is turned on, the Baby Bell display turns green.
