Cases of confirmed gastroesophageal reflux disease may occur during the first year of a child's life.
The rising of stomach contents into the throat is called gastroesophageal reflux and can lead to regurgitation. In this case, along with appropriate dietary treatment, it may be helpful to reduce portions and increase the frequency of meals while keeping the child as upright as possible.
To manage gastroesophageal reflux with or without regurgitation, the Humana AR formula uses a special corn starch which, during food preparation, increases its density, thus reducing the predisposition to reflux.
Humana AR is a complete formula with starch and high proportions of casein which, once they reach the stomach, change their structure, naturally increasing the viscosity of the milk.

How to use
When preparing the milk, carefully follow the instructions for use.
Sterilize the bottle, teat and ring before each use.
Prepare the milk before each meal and administer immediately.
Do not reuse leftover milk.
Inappropriate preparation and method of use may be harmful to the infant's health.
1) Boil the water, let it cool to 70°C (or heat the Humana Amorosa water to 70°C) and pour it into the bottle.
2) Add the required number of measuring spoons, leveling the powder with the appropriate leveler. Use only the measuring spoon contained in the package.
3) Close the bottle and shake it to dissolve the powder.
4) Cool under running water to approximately 37°C and check the temperature.
Do not heat in the microwave: risk of burns.
Humana AR is thickened with starch. For its administration, it is recommended to use a teat with a larger hole to facilitate the flow of food.

The quantities of milk reported are indicative; the dosage may vary upon indication of the Pediatrician, in relation to the needs of the infant.
Humana AR is reconstituted by adding a level, unpressed measuring spoon of powder (approximately 4.3 g) to every 30 ml of water, preferably minimally mineralised like Humana Amorosa.

Warnings
Humana AR is suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition in the first 6 months of life and is suitable for feeding infants over 6 months of age as part of a diversified complementary diet.
Do not administer parenterally.
Humana ASR contains cow's milk proteins.
Do not use in case of allergy to cow's milk proteins, lactose intolerance, galactose, galactose and glucose malabsorption.
To be used under the supervision of a pediatrician.
Breast milk is the ideal food for the infant. If breastfeeding is not sufficient or possible, after consulting the pediatrician, you can resort to infant formula. The beginning of weaning must occur only following the pediatrician's instructions.

Conservation
