OpSite Flexigrid
STERILE TRANSPARENT POLYURETHANE DRESSING- superficial wounds, such as superficial bedsores, superficial burns, cuts or abrasions;
- prophylaxis of bedsores, protection of the perilesional skin, protection at contact points of the leg urine collection bags;
- lower limb ulcers in the final stage of healing;
- use as a secondary dressing, to relieve pain in painful diabetic neuropathies.
How to use:
wash your hands before and after treating the wound.
Gently clean the wound, removing any debris, and dry the surrounding skin. Do not apply to particularly bleeding wounds.
Remove the dressing from the package.
Remove the protective sheet marked with the number 1, taking care not to touch the adhesive side.
Apply the dressing to the wound using light pressure.
Remove the protective sheet marked with the number 2 and adhere the dressing by pressing along the edges.
If required, trace the wound margins on the monitoring grid.
Remove the grid and place it in the patient's medical record.
To remove the dressing, lift one corner and pull parallel to the skin to release the adhesive.
Characteristics:
transparent, adhesive, moisture-permeable, conformable and extensible dressing. It is clinically tested to allow healing in a moist environment especially in the case of superficial wounds. It can be effectively used as a secondary dressing and to prevent the formation of bedsores.
Warnings:
It can be applied to clinically infected wounds if the following precautions are followed:
- the patient must undergo the necessary medical checks;
- the dressing must be changed daily.
- the patient must be subjected to the necessary systemic treatment.
Additional monitoring may be necessary in immunocompromised and diabetic patients. Extreme care should be taken to avoid epidermal damage in the case of repeated applications or in the case of patients with thin or fragile skin.
