Launched in 1987, it combined patient comfort with a revolutionary three-layer fluid management system that allows wounds to heal in a moist environment.
Allevyn Non-Adhesive has stood the test of time and continues to be essential for patients and clinicians around the world.
• Unique triple action technology effectively manages fluids, creating a moist wound healing environment.
The highly breathable upper film helps to minimize the risk of maceration of the wound and periwound skin.
• The non-adherent contact layer makes the dressing suitable for use on fragile and sensitive skin, including that of epidermolysis bullosa wounds.
• Soft and comfortable for the patient, it adapts to various areas of the body.
• Contoured heel dressing, designed to fit this uncomfortable area.
• Easy to apply and remove.
• Provides an effective barrier function for exogenous bacteria, as well as helping to prevent leakage of exudate and bacteria.
• Wide range of sizes that can be cut to fit different body contours.
• Suitable for use under compression bandaging.
• The product can contribute to a blood pressure reduction protocol, used prophylactically.
• Allevyn Non-Adhesive Dressings are indicated for the secondary intention management of:
- superficial, granulating lesions;
- chronic and acute exuding wounds;
- full or partial thickness wounds such as: pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers;
- tumor lesions;
- surgical wounds;
- first and second degree burns;
- collection sites;
- hyperproliferative skin ulcers;
- oncological lesions;
- wounds from epidermolysis bullosa.
The product can be used on infected wounds.
If the product is used on infected wounds, the infection should be monitored and treated as per local clinical protocol.
