Description
Class IIB Medical Device (Directive 93/42/EEC). Single use. Sterile.
Open-weave, non-adherent, hydrophilic cotton gauze, uniformly impregnated with a cream based on polyethylene glycols containing Hyaluronic Acid and Natural Extracts (Centella Asiatica and Urtica Dioica). Fylladerm determines an acceleration of tissue regeneration processes, as, thanks to its particular composition, it promotes the migration of cells responsible for the formation of new tissue. The basic principle is to create a barrier effect, which allows the restoration of optimal conditions for the healing process. Fylladerm does not adhere to the skin lesion and allows free drainage of the same, allowing the passage of exudate to a secondary absorbent dressing. The dressing is very well tolerated by the skin, conformable, adaptable and easy to apply.
Latex-free product.
How to use
Before application, clean the affected area. Remove the dressing from the package and apply gently in a single layer directly in contact with the surface of the wound. If necessary, cover with a secondary absorbent dressing and secure with a bandage or plaster. Before each new use, it is recommended to clean the wound with saline solution.
The frequency of dressing changes depends on the clinical conditions of the skin lesion and varies from one to several applications per day, always making sure that the dressing remains moist and soft. It is up to the doctor to evaluate the frequency of dressing changes and to define the number of applications. It is advisable not to leave the dressing in place for prolonged periods. In fact, if the dressing is left in place for a prolonged period, it may adhere and damage the tissue when removed. In these cases, before removing it, place another greasy gauze over it to soak the one underneath.
Components
Open-weave cotton gauze. The warp (96 by 10 cm) and weft (94 by 10 cm) threads are carefully woven to minimize fraying when the dressing is cut to the desired shape.
Warnings
Do not use in cases of known sensitivity to the components of the product. Prolonged use may give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, it is advisable to immediately stop the therapy and consult a doctor. Keep the device out of the reach of children. After use, do not disperse the product in the environment. Do not use if the package is not intact. Do not use beyond the expiry date indicated on the package. Do not leave the dressing in place for periods of time longer than those indicated by the clinical protocol. Single-use device. Reuse may cause microbial contamination and/or loss of functionality of the device.
In case of home use, the device can be disposed of as waste similar to unsorted urban waste. In a hospital environment, it must be disposed of as clinical waste in accordance with current legislation.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat, light and humidity.
