MEDIFIT DIGITAL BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR WRIST MEDIFIT
medifit
Description
Digital wrist blood pressure monitor.
The wrist blood pressure monitor INMD-WBP-205 uses the oscillometric method for measuring blood pressure. This means that the device detects the movement of blood through the brachial artery and converts that movement into a digital reading. An oscillometric monitor does not require a stethoscope, making it easy to use.
This wrist blood pressure monitor can measure systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and heart rate. The components include the main unit, the cuff, the printed instruction manual, the warranty card, and the case. Batteries are not included. This device is intended for use by adults.
The smart inflation reduces the discomfort caused by incorrect inflation, shortens the measurement time, and extends the lifespan of the cuff.
Memory function for 2x90 measurements: each measurement result will be displayed on the screen and stored automatically. This device is equipped with a blood classification index for easy blood pressure monitoring.
How to use
Before measurement
- Please remain calm for 5-10 minutes and avoid eating, drinking alcohol, smoking, exercising, and bathing before measurement. All these factors will affect the measurement result.
- Remove the watch or other ornaments from the wrist to be measured.
- Always measure on the same wrist (usually the left).
- Perform the measurement regularly at the same time every day, as blood pressure changes throughout the day.
Common factors for incorrect measurement
- Take measurements under the same circumstances if you notice different blood pressure values, particularly in a quiet environment.
- Ensure you are in a comfortable and relaxed position and do not activate any muscles in the measuring arm during the measurement. If necessary, use a cushion for support.
- If the wrist is positioned lower or higher than the heart, the reading will be inaccurate.
Note: A loose cuff or exposed air chamber causes incorrect readings. With repeated measurements, blood accumulates in the wrist, which can lead to inaccurate readings.
Consecutive blood pressure measurements should be repeated after a 1-minute pause or after raising the arm to allow accumulated blood to drain.
Cuff adjustment
- Roll up the sleeve. Ensure that the sleeve is not rolled too tightly on the arm. This could hinder blood flow in the arm.
- Wrap the cuff directly on the skin, holding the bottom of the cuff and wrapping it around the wrist so that it fits comfortably and securely, as shown in the image.
- Sit on a chair with your back straight, ensuring that the monitor is at the same level as the heart.
Press the START/STOP button, the device will automatically measure blood pressure. Remain still while the device is in operation.
If you cannot adjust the cuff to the left wrist, it can also be placed on the right. However, all measurements must be taken on the same wrist.
After properly positioning the cuff, you can start the measurement:
- press the START/STOP button, all symbols appear on the display, then the "0" blinks for 2 seconds, the pump starts to inflate the cuff, the increase in pressure in the cuff is displayed on the screen;
- once the desired pressure is reached, the pump stops and the pressure gradually decreases. The pressure of the cuff is displayed. If the inflation is insufficient, the device automatically reinflates to a higher pressure;
- when the device detects a heartbeat, the heart symbol on the display starts to blink;
- once the measurement is complete, the systolic, diastolic, and pulse frequency will appear on the display.
The measurement values remain displayed until the device is turned off. If no button is pressed for 2 minutes, the device will automatically turn off. The contact time with the patient is 1 minute and the maximum temperature of the applied cuff is below 43 degrees.
