Sterile lancets
Description
The lancet (for use with the lancing device) is a sterile disposable medical device, designed to take blood through a small finger prick in order to obtain capillary blood samples from the fingertip. The lancet needs the lancing device to work.
The lancet is intended for people who need to take capillary blood.
How to use
1. Unscrew the lancing device cap from the remaining part.
2. Firmly insert a sterile lancet into the lancing device.
3. Remove the protective cap from the lancet.
4. Carefully screw the cap on the lancing device.
5. Adjust the puncture depth.
6. Place the lancing device on the side of the finger and press the release button. If the blood cannot be collected, please adjust the puncture depth according to the instructions of the lancing device, and repeat this step.
7. Apply a drop of blood to the test strip.
8. Remove the lancet from the lancing device and discard it in an appropriate container.
9. Place the lancing device cap on the lancing device.
Warnings
1. Read the instructions carefully before use.
2. Use the lancets within the expiration date.
3. Do not use if protective cap is previously removed or broken.
4. Do not leave the lancet inside the lancing device, discard the lancet after use and do not reuse.
5. The lancet is disposable and reusing it could lead to cross-infection and damage to the needle.
6. If the used needle is not re-capped, it may cause cuts to another person and may cause infection or cross-infection.
7. If the needle is broken and embedded in your finger, please consult a healthcare professional immediately.
8. In case of adverse events, please report them to the Manufacturer and the Competent Authority.
