Description
Decongestant and fluidifying for adults and children from 2 years of age. It has a draining effect (osmotic) that facilitates the decongestion of the nasal mucous membranes and the fluidification of the mucus. It gives relief to the dryness of the nasal mucous membranes thanks to the hyaluronic acid that promotes humidification. Therefore useful for maintaining the cleanliness of the nasal passages especially in the acute phases of colds, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis and rhinosinusitis.
The solution contained in the vials can also be used for aerosol therapy.
It is in addition to and does not replace other treatments that may be prescribed by your doctor.
IALUMAR IPER vials combines the beneficial and fluidifying action of sea water with the hydrating effect of hyaluronic acid. The 3% solution contained in IALUMAR IPER vials helps drain excess fluid from the nasal cavities; hyaluronic acid hydrates the mucosa, thanks to its ability to attract water, promoting the healing of any microlesions and attenuating the effects of dryness of the nasal mucosa resulting from the hypertonicity of the solution.
How to use
The vials are single-dose and must be used only once. Your doctor or pharmacist can provide further information on how to use the device.
By instillation
In children, the application must be carried out by an adult.
Before use, it is recommended to blow your nose, one nostril at a time.
- Detach a single-dose vial of IALUMAR IPER and open it by rotating the top cap. Discard the cap, keeping it out of the reach of children.
- Tilt your head to one side (not backwards) and gently insert the open end of the vial into the nostril on the opposite side (e.g. head tilted to the right and vial into the left nostril).
- Gently squeeze the bottle to dispense the solution.
- Turn your head to the other side and repeat for the other nostril.
For nebulization (aerosol therapy)
In children, administration must be carried out by an adult or under the supervision of an adult.
- Detach a single-dose IALUMAR IPER vial and open it by rotating the top cap.
- Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the aerosol device and nebulize.
- Do not use ultrasonic devices.
Frequency of use
By instillation: use several times a day as needed or as directed by your doctor.
By nebulization: 1 vial one or more times a day. For children under two years of age, consult your pediatrician.
Components
Each vial contains 5 ml of sterile, ready-to-use solution of hypertonic sea water (3%), hyaluronic acid sodium salt (0.2%) and sodium hydroxide.
Warnings
In children, instill the product by pressing the bottle with minimal pressure to avoid irritation to the mucosa.
For use in asthmatic patients, with a tendency to shortness of breath or hypersensitivity, or for children under two years of age, consult a doctor before use.
The solution is not for injection.
Do not ingest.
Use the product only for its intended use.
In children under 2 years of age, consult your pediatrician before use, especially by aerosol.
Consult your doctor before use even in case of particular ongoing pathologies (e.g. cystic fibrosis) and/or concomitant drug therapies.
Wash your hands before and after using the product.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
The vials are single-dose. Do not store or reuse previously opened vials: any unused content must be discarded because the solution is no longer sterile and reuse could cause infections.
Do not use if the carton or vial is damaged.
Do not use after expiration date.

In some cases, temporary irritation may occur, such as coughing or reversible contraction of the bronchi, especially when used in aerosol form: in this case, stop using the product and contact your doctor.
