Calendula has always been recognized and used especially for external use, for its soothing, anti-reddening and regeneration-promoting properties. The use of Calendula 30% is recommended in the treatment of dry, chapped, easily reddened skin. Furthermore, it provides rapid relief in minor skin burns.
Calendula is a herbaceous plant belonging to the Compositae family, well known for its yellow-orange flowers. The name Calendula derives from Calende (the first day of the month), which indicates its abundant flowering in almost every month of the year.
