Protein Shake
DescriptionFood for special medical purposes, indicated for the dietary management of patients with dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) and high protein requirements. ThickenUP Protein Shake is an amylase-resistant, high-protein thickening powder formulation based on 100% whey proteins. It has a pleasant vanilla flavor. Improves the safety and effectiveness of swallowing thanks to the presence of xanthan gum.
- Amylase resistant.
- Dense consistency, level 3 according to the IDDSI scale.
- Clinically irrelevant lactose content.
Indicated for patients with protein-calorie malnutrition and dysphagic patients or in all pathological situations in which swallowing liquids is difficult, for example:
- geriatrics;
- maxillofacial and otorhinolaryngological (ENT) surgery;
- neurosurgery;
- neurological and neuromotor rehabilitation;
- Alzheimer's disease;
- Parkinson's disease;
- muscular dystrophy.
Recommended for ages 14 and up.
Packaged in a protective atmosphere.

How to use
For a level 3 consistency on the IDDSI scale:
1. pour one sachet of product into a cup or shaker and add 250 ml of semi-skimmed milk or 200 ml of water;
2. mix vigorously for 1 minute;
3. If using water, wait 5 minutes until the product reaches the desired consistency. Wait 15 minutes if using milk;
We recommend 1-2 servings per day or as directed by your doctor.
