Rhizarthrosis support.
The medical device provides stabilization of the wrist and thumb. The medical device provides pain relief and functional improvement.
Thermoformable splint that allows the immobilization of the thumb in a functional position, maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and the prehensility of the hand. Ambidextrous model.
How to use
Remove the thermoformable part from the fabric sheath. Fill a container with hot water at 65°C. Completely immerse the thermoformable product until it becomes translucent and flattens. Place the thermoformable product on the thumb, keeping the hand in a functional position. Shape the softened thermoformable on the line of the thumb, massaging lightly without pressing. Leave to cool in this position. Insert the thermoformed product into the sheath. Position the orthosis by closing it first on the wrist and then on the thumb using the special Velcro closures, until a firm and comfortable containment is obtained.
Washing instructions
Hand wash in warm water with neutral soap or detergent, rinse well, wring gently, let dry horizontally. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, do not dry clean.
Warnings
Do not prolong the use of the product without medical advice. The product has been designed for use by a single person, do not use it on multiple people. The product must not be used in direct contact with damaged skin. Do not use in case of allergies or hypersensitivity to the components of the product. If you encounter problems using the product such as the appearance of pain or obvious local signs, remove it and contact a healthcare professional. In the event of a serious accident following the use of the product, contact the manufacturer and the healthcare professional in your area. When adjusting the straps, tighten them so that they are stable but comfortable. The brace must not be used if relative or absolute immobilization or surgery is required. It is advisable, the first time, to have the product positioned by a qualified operator and independently perform subsequent positionings in the same way. Contains natural rubber latex.
