Powdered food based on only essential and non-essential amino acids, phenylalanine-free. Indicated as an amino acid supplement in the dietary management of phenylketonuria in infants, children and adults.

How to use
The diet must be supplemented with natural proteins and other nutrients in the quantities prescribed by the doctor to meet the required needs. The recommended dilution is 1 to 20 w/v (for example 5 g of XP2 Maxamaid in 100 ml of water). The osmolality of XP2 Maxamaid at this dilution is 349 mosm/Kg. It can be taken as a drink or as a mush; in this case, water or a permitted diluted drink must be consumed at the same time. XP2 Maxamaid can be used as a food module to be added as an amino acid supplement to PKU Anamix Infant during weaning. Flavouring is not recommended for infants under six months.
If preparing in advance, refrigerate quickly at 2 to 4°C and consume within 24 hours. Shake well before use. Do not use the product after 24 hours of preparation. Throw away the reconstituted and unused product. Clean the baby's teeth after each feeding and especially before bedtime.

Warnings
The powder formula is not sterile so it is recommended, where possible, to prepare it immediately before administration and to consume it within 1 hour. If prepared in advance, place in the refrigerator quickly at 2 to 4°C and consume within 24 hours. Shake well before use. Do not use the product after 24 hours of preparation. Throw away the reconstituted and unused product. Clean the baby's teeth after each feeding and especially before bedtime. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Do not use parenterally. The recommended dilutions are purely indicative; the quantities must always be established by the doctor. Requires a supplementary source of vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

Conservation
Store in a dry place away from heat sources. Close the package tightly after use. Once opened, use the product within 1 month.
