Description
Medical device based on plant extracts useful as an adjuvant in treatments aimed at maintaining the properties of the prostate gland or known for their beneficial properties on the functions of the urinary system.
It may have a beneficial effect in inflammatory conditions of the prostate and in actinic proctitis (induced by radiotherapy) or other types.
The product is suitable for short-term use for constipation and hemorrhoidal congestion through a soothing action.

How to use
It is recommended to take one suppository per day, preferably in the evening before bedtime. For optimal functioning, it is recommended to apply the suppository correctly, ensuring correct insertion into the deepest part of the rectal ampoule.

Components
Lactoferrin, glycerophosphoinositol, hyaluronic acid.

Warnings
The non-uniform dark color that the suppository may present is a characteristic of the product and does not indicate degradation of its effectiveness or poor conservation of the same.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the package and blister.
PROSPIDOL is not sterile; however, it is recommended not to use suppositories if the primary packaging (blister) is damaged.
Each suppository is for single use only and must be removed from the package immediately before use: do not use suppositories that have been broken or removed from the blister at unknown times, as this method of use could lead to risks of contamination of the product. Do not attempt to reuse suppositories that have accidentally leaked after the first attempt at use.
Do not exceed the recommended doses; if the DM is ineffective after correct use according to the recommended dosage, stop using it and consult your doctor. The abuse of laxatives, especially contact laxatives (stimulant laxatives), can cause dependence, chronic constipation and loss of normal intestinal functions (intestinal atony), persistent diarrhea with consequent loss of water, mineral salts (especially potassium) and other essential nutritional factors. In the most serious cases of abuse, dehydration or hypokalemia may occur, which can cause cardiac or neuromuscular dysfunction, especially in the case of concomitant treatment with cardiac glycosides, diuretics or corticosteroids.
PROSPIDOL does not negatively affect sensory abilities (level of attention, ability to drive or perform activities). However, if any side effects such as excessive irritation, pain or any discomfort that may appear related to the use of the Medical Device arise, immediately suspend treatment and contact your doctor.
PROSPIDOL suppositories can reduce the time spent in the intestine and, consequently, also the absorption of other drugs taken orally at the same time; it is therefore recommended, after taking a medicine orally, to wait at least 2 hours before taking PROSPIDOL. In any case, avoid taking PROSPIDOL when using other devices or medicinal specialties. In any case, consult your doctor before taking PROSPIDOL in case of ongoing pharmacological therapies.
Do not use under 12 years of age.
Taking PROSPIDOL is not recommended in case of known hypersensitivity of the user to one of the components.
Do not use in case of:
- acute or unknown abdominal pain;
- nausea or vomiting;
- intestinal obstruction or stenosis;
- rectal bleeding of unknown origin;
- acute hemorrhoidal crisis with pain and bleeding;
- severe state of dehydration.
PROSPIDOL can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, but only in cases of real need and only after consulting your doctor.
Elderly or unhealthy subjects should in any case consult their doctor before using PROSPIDOL.

Conservation
Store in a dry place away from direct light or heat: remove the suppository only immediately before use. Store the device below 25 °C.
Validity with intact packaging: 24 months.
