Description
Azulene eye drops is an eye drop that lubricates and hydrates the ocular surface, particularly indicated when the eye is dry and the ocular surface is damaged.
Hyaluronic acid promotes the re-epithelialization of damaged corneal epithelium, while the long chain prevents the formation of pro-inflammatory hyaluronic acid particles and enhances its lubricating action during blinking.
Thanks to its extremely high capacity to incorporate water molecules, hyaluronic acid helps to replenish and stabilize the tear film.
Edta acts as a chelator and is useful in all corneal pathologies caused by foreign bodies, especially alkaline cations. For this reason, it is particularly indicated in pathologies of the ocular surface due to air pollution and fine dust.
It also has the ability to reduce tear osmolarity, which in dry eye is inherently high, increasing the bioavailability of water in the tear film.
