Ingredients
Trehalose 3%, sodium chloride, trometamol, hydrochloric acid, water for injections.
Property
Thealoz is an aqueous ophthalmic solution, sterile, preservative-free, isotonic and with neutral pH. Its main ingredient is trehalose. The chemical-physical characteristics of trehalose give it protective, antioxidant and hydrating properties. Trehalose also has membrane stabilizing properties, preventing protein denaturation and lipid degradation, as well as antioxidant properties.
Thealoz is available in a multidose Abak bottle. This innovative process allows the administration of drops through a 0.2 mcm filter membrane, which prevents bacterial contamination of the solution.
When to use Thealoz Gel
Thealoz is recommended in case of sensation of dry eyes (discomfort, stinging pain, irritation) and ocular fatigue caused by external factors such as wind, smoke, pollution, dust, dry heat, air conditioning, air travel, prolonged work in front of a computer screen, etc.
Without preservatives , it can be used by contact lens wearers. Provides rapid comfort during the day for contact lens wearers.
Method and route of administration
Product for ocular instillation.
Instill one drop in each eye, repeating the administration as needed throughout the day.
Thealoz can be used when wearing contact lenses.
For correct use of the product it is necessary to adopt some precautions:
• wash your hands thoroughly before applying;
• avoid contact of the bottle tip with your eye or eyelids, especially if you think you may have an eye infection;
• instill one drop into the lower conjunctival sac, stretching the lower eyelid downwards and looking upwards. Close the bottle after use.
The solution can be used for 8 weeks after opening the bottle.
One bottle of Thealoz contains at least 300 drops.
Special warnings and precautions
• Do not use Thealoz if you have previously had an allergy to any of the ingredients.
• Rare occurrence of mild eye irritation has been observed.
• If the protective ring breaks, do not use the product.
• Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package.
• It is advisable to space the administration of two ocular products by 10 minutes.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Do not inject, do not ingest.
