Go – Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor

Description
The Prontex Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor offers a convenient and efficient way to monitor your blood pressure anytime, anywhere. With its compact design and ease of use, this medical device fits perfectly on your wrist, providing immediate and reliable readings of systolic, diastolic and heart rate.
Convenience is at the heart of the Prontex Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor design, making it ideal for those on the go. The adjustable strap fits comfortably on your wrist, ensuring an accurate and effortless measurement. The clear, easy-to-read display provides instant information, allowing for quick monitoring of your blood pressure health.
The Prontex Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor features advanced cardiac arrhythmia detection technology, providing an early warning of irregular heartbeats. Its portability makes it perfect for anyone who wants to monitor their blood pressure on the go or at home. With its built-in memory function, the Prontex Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor allows you to store and track your measurements over time. This feature provides a comprehensive overview of your cardiovascular health and makes it easy to share information with your healthcare professional.
This device was developed to non-invasively measure systolic and diastolic blood pressure, heart rate and also calculate pulse pressure in adults conveniently at home.
The measured blood pressure values are classified according to WHO guidelines (1999). When systolic and diastolic pressures fall into different categories, the higher class applies. For specific information about your blood pressure, we recommend that you consult a doctor. You should not draw any personal conclusions based solely on the classification indication.

WHO CLASSIFICATION SYS DIA
Hypertension (severe) >180 >110
Hypertension (moderate) 160-179 100-109
Hypertension (mild) 140-159 90-99
Above normal 130-139 85-89
Normal 120-129 80-84
Optimal <120 <80

This device also calculates and displays pulse pressure. While systolic blood pressure increases with age, diastolic blood pressure tends to decrease from about age fifty onwards. Since pulse pressure is the difference between systolic and diastolic blood pressure, it also tends to increase with age. Pulse pressure is thought to be related to the stiffness of the arteries and for this reason it is being studied as one of the possible circulatory risks. It is generally believed that 45 mmHg is a normal value. Pulse pressure by itself is not an indicator of atherosclerosis. However, it is important to monitor the trend of pulse pressure over time.
The blood pressure value measured while the body is moving is not correct because it is affected by the body movement. When the device detects body movement, it analyzes the pulse wave and displays the symbol indicating that the measurement result may be incorrect. The pulse rate may vary when talking or moving, or if there is cardiac arrhythmia. When the difference between the shortest and longest interval between pulse waves exceeds 25%, the device displays the symbol indicating arrhythmia.
The measured values are automatically saved in memory bank [1] or [2] so that they can be reviewed at a later time. In the two memory banks, for example, you can save the individual readings of two people, or the day and night readings separately for the same person.
Each can store up to 60 readings. When this number is reached, the device deletes the oldest reading to make room for a new one.
When the watch is running, the saved readings can be recalled together with the date and time of the measurement. *To save the date and time, you must activate the watch before starting the blood pressure measurement.
The device does not save results that have given rise to an error ([Err]).

How to use

Before using the device, you must install the batteries and activate the clock. It can also be used without a clock. In this case, however, it is not possible to save the date and time of the measurements to be able to review them later. When the batteries are removed, the device stops working. The band can be applied to wrists with a circumference of between 12.5 and 22.5 cm. Before starting, it is therefore advisable to make sure that your wrist complies with these measurements.
Find a table and chair where you can sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor and your arms and back well supported.
Remove any watch and/or bracelet you may be wearing.
Wrap the band around your left wrist in direct contact with your skin, keeping the device display facing your palm.
The meter should be placed in the center of the wrist with the upper side 5 -10 mm from the palm of the hand. Tighten the band well and press its surface to ensure that the hooks and loops are firmly coupled.
Although the band should fit snugly around your wrist, there should be no space between the two.
It is also necessary to avoid the band from trapping part of the clothing.
You can also use your right wrist to measure your blood pressure. However, in this case, you should always use your right wrist, as blood pressure may vary between the right and left wrists.
Keep your forearm in that same position with the help of a folded cloth or other type of support so that, during the measurement session, the cuff remains at the same height as your heart. If you do not have a support surface for your elbow, you can keep it raised with the other hand.
You can also proceed with the measurement session while lying on your back. It is necessary that the band remains constantly at the same height as your heart. If the cuff is lower (or higher) than your heart, the measurement values tend to increase (or decrease).
Breathe deeply and relax. Do not move or talk during the measurement session. Do not cross your legs during the measurement session. Do not hold your breath.
Press the "START/STOP" button.
The cuff begins to release air. The cuff automatically begins to inflate. Inflation stops when the optimal pressure is reached and deflation begins.
As soon as the device detects a heartbeat, it displays the heartbeat symbol.
To cancel the measurement, press the "START/STOP" KEY.
The meter will release air and then turn off. AUTOMATIC REPEAT INFLATION If you move or apply tension to your arm, the device may automatically decide to repeat inflation several times to get a more reliable measurement.
This repetition does not mean that the meter is not working properly.
The MEMORY SYMBOL appears under the MEMORY KEY. Touching the MEMORY KEY switches between the two banks.
The device saves the readings in the MEMORY bank [1] or [2] depending on which of the two was selected when the device was switched off after the last measurement was taken. It is therefore advisable to check it immediately after a measurement. For information on the memory function, please see pages 5 and 14.
Press the "START/STOP" button. The appliance switches off. In any case, it will switch off automatically after 3 minutes of inactivity.
We recommend that you do not take measurements one after the other. This would cause congestion in the wrist, thus preventing correct measurements. Therefore, let it rest for at least 5 minutes before taking a new measurement.
Turn off the meter with the "START/STOP" KEY once the measurement results are displayed.
