Pregnancy and breastfeeding are particularly critical periods from a nutritional-dietary perspective, as diet fundamentally impacts the health of both the mother and the baby. To optimize the health status of a pregnant woman and reduce the risk of malformations or diseases in the unborn child, it is essential that the mother achieves an optimal nutritional status before, during, and after the gestational period, which must include both breastfeeding, where dietary demands are higher than during pregnancy, and a recovery phase (Picciano MF, J nutr. 2003; 133 1997s). Women should always maintain, but with greater attention from conception to breastfeeding, a diet capable of meeting nutritional needs as defined by international LARN and VNR guidelines.
Role and effects of the main components of Gravidan:
Folic acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and supports normal hematopoiesis, iron promotes the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin, vitamin B1 contributes to normal energy metabolism, while vitamins B2, B6, and B12 contribute to the normal formation of red blood cells. Supplementary intake of folic acid increases maternal folate status. A low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. The target population consists of women of childbearing age, and the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily supplementary intake of 400 mcg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. Maternal DHA intake contributes to the normal brain and vision development of the fetus and breastfed infants.

Corn maltodextrin, DHA (from fish oil; carrier: silicon dioxide), microencapsulated iron fumarate (iron fumarate, palm oil); bulking agents: calcium carbonate (carrier: corn starch), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose; vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid); coating agents: polyvinyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), mono and diglycerides of fatty acids; anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids; zinc sulfate, vitamin E (DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate; carrier: corn starch, silicon dioxide), vitamin B3 (nicotinamide), manganese glycerophosphate, copper gluconate, vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), sodium fluoride, vitamin D (cholecalciferol; carriers: sucrose, gum arabic, corn starch), vitamin K (phylloquinone; carriers: acacia gum, sucrose), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), folic acid (pteroylmonoglutamic acid), vitamin H (D-biotin), vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin).

Gluten-free and lactose-free.

Directions for use
Two tablets a day to be swallowed without chewing and preferably taken before or during main meals.
