Description
Hyaluronic acid is one of the main components of the extracellular matrix. Being a very hydrophilic molecule, it has a humectant function and improves skin hydration. It also contributes to the skin's resistance to mechanical damage. Vitamin C, in addition to being a powerful antioxidant, is an essential cofactor for the synthesis of collagen, one of the major constituents of the extracellular matrix of the dermis, the layer of the skin responsible for its strength and elasticity. Retinol (vitamin A) is a regulator of epidermal cell proliferation and the keratinization process. It also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Vitamin E contributes to the skin repair process and modulates inflammation. Furthermore, thanks to its antioxidant function, it counteracts the damaging action of free radicals at the skin level, slowing down cellular aging and the appearance of wrinkles and dry skin. Vitamin B3 is a precursor for the coenzymes of many metabolic reactions and is known for its antioxidant action. It also contributes to maintaining the skin barrier function, increasing hydration and the synthesis of lipids and proteins that make up the skin barrier such as ceramides, keratin and filaggrin. Helianthus annuus seed oil contains oleic acid and linoleic acid, improves skin hydration and stimulates the proliferation of keratinocytes and lipid synthesis at the skin level, promoting the maintenance and repair of the skin barrier.
