Description
One-piece collection device.
The bottom of the bag is open to allow for emptying.
The bag adheres to the skin using a full-protection adhesive barrier in Stomahesive Technology.
The bag is equipped with a filter and is mainly indicated for ileostomy patients who want a safe and easy to apply, remove and empty device. In addition, the exclusive InvisiClose closure system, without rigid closing clamps, allows to maximize comfort, hygiene and ease of use.
On the outside, the Esteem+ open-bottom device has an inspection window.
The Stomahesive Technology that makes up the adhesive barrier ensures maximum protection of the skin in the peristomal area. This barrier is self-supporting and does not require additional support and is designed to ensure maximum hold even when exposed to water. Furthermore, considering the need for frequent replacement of the bag, it is particularly delicate to remove.
The flexibility of the barrier allows for perfect adaptation to the abdominal profile.
The soft, water-repellent lining ensures comfort and discretion and allows the skin to breathe.
The filter allows effective and long-lasting deodorization of gases. A special seal allows for total occlusion, useful for example during bathing or showering.
The InvisiClose closure system, being made of completely waterproof and washable material, allows the device to be emptied easily and completely hygienically whenever necessary. A light pressure on the ends of the white wings on the bottom of the bag allows for easy emptying of the bag which can, if desired, be folded into the special Lock-it pocket.
Contains no latex.
Technical information :
The Stomahesive* skin barrier is covered on the adhesive surface by a transparent silicone protective paper, easily identifiable and removable thanks to a blue colored tab. In the cut-to-size version, the protective paper has a cutting guide in an oval and circular direction 20-70 mm to facilitate the preparation of the device.
The bag is equipped with an activated carbon filter that allows the release and deodorization of intestinal gases. The presence of an internal protective film and the position of the filter, centered and high with respect to the bag, prevents any contact with the effluents. The bag has a symmetrical shape and is covered with a soft TNT sheet welded at the edges. The covering is present on both sides of the opaque-colored bag, which has, on the outside, an inspection window: in this way the patient can constantly monitor the contents of the bag.
The dimensions of the bag with the bottom flat are: 28.2 cm long and 15.2 cm wide, while with the bottom folded 19.5 cm long and 15.2 cm wide.
The exclusive InvisiClose locking system is composed of:
- semi-rigid staggered fins in washable plastic material (7.1 cm wide);
- washable plastic velcro fastening system;
- Lock-it pocket into which the bottom can be folded.
*Total skin barrier, 1 mm thick, composed of inert and non-irritating hydrocolloid substances: gelatin, pectin, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, polyisobutylene.
