PROCTILOR RECTAL CREAM 30 ML WITH APPLICATOR CANNULA
PROCTILOR
Rectal Cream
Description
Mechanical medical device with specific protective properties and adjuvant to the natural repair process of the rectal mucosa.
Proctilor rectal cream adheres to the rectal mucosa creating a protective layer and isolating damaged, erythematous or ulcerated areas. Proctilor rectal cream reduces the pain symptoms with a rapid reduction of burning and pain and promotes the natural process of repair of lesions of the anal canal epithelium and rectal mucosa improving the resistance of the mucosa to attacks by irritating agents.
It is indicated in actinic proctitis due to radiotherapy treatment of the pelvic area and in proctitis during chemotherapy or combined treatments (radiotherapy and chemotherapy). It is indicated in all pathologies that involve lesions of the ano-rectal mucosa such as:
- acute and chronic anal fissures;
- fistulas;
- anal and perianal abscesses;
- isolated rectal ulcers;
- proctitis of various kinds;
- varicose hemorrhoid syndrome (external and internal hemorrhoids);
- post-rectocolonoscopy treatment.
Nickel tested.
How to use
Prevention: Apply 2 times daily.
Treatment: apply 3 times a day, for no more than 3 consecutive weeks or until the symptoms disappear. Consult your doctor for longer use if you do not notice an improvement in your clinical condition.
Immediately before using the product, with stool free, clean the anus and surrounding area with specific or pH neutral detergents. Wash your hands before handling the cannula. Open the tube of the product to be applied. Screw the cannula onto the open tube. Remove the cap from the end of the endorectal cannula. Squeeze the tube until the cannula is filled, releasing a small amount of product to lubricate the cannula itself. Lubricate the previously cleaned perianal areas with a small amount of gel. Gently insert the cannula into the rectum. Squeeze the tube again until the correct amount of product is dispensed. Remove the cannula from the anal cavity. Spread any excess gel that may have leaked from the anus around the perianal area.
Cleaning the cannula
After each application, the cannula must be thoroughly cleaned according to the following procedure:
1. After use, wipe the outside of the cannula with a clean paper towel;
2. clean the cannula inside with a clean cotton swab;
3. Wipe the outside again with a clean paper towel;
4. rinse the cannula inside and outside with warm water (40°C) for approximately 1 minute;
5. dry the cannula on the outside with a clean paper towel;
6. replace the protective cap;
7. Store the cannula in the box.
After the procedure, perform a visual inspection of the cannula and if any residue is visible, repeat the procedure from point 4. Repeat the cleaning procedure before use from point 4 if the cannula is not used daily, taking care to remove the protective cap.
