HYLO-COMOD EYE DROPS SODIUM HYALURONATE 0.1% 10 ML BOTTLE
HYLO- COMFORTABLE
Sodium hyaluronate 1 mg/ml
To improve lubrication of the ocular surface in dry, burning or foreign body sensation-caused eyes and after ophthalmic surgery.
Sterile eye drops without phosphates and preservatives.
What is HYLO-COMOD?
HYLO-COMOD is a sterile, preservative-free solution containing 1 mg/ml sodium hyaluronate, a citrate buffer, sorbitol and water.
What is HYLO-COMOD used for?
To improve lubrication of the ocular surface in dry, burning or foreign body sensation-caused eyes and after ophthalmic surgery.
When to use HYLO-COMOD?
If you experience itching, burning, or tired eyes, or if you feel like sand is in your eyes, it could be due to a lack of moisture on the surface of the eye. For example, if you spend a lot of time in air-conditioned environments or after intense computer work, the natural tear film that normally covers the surface of the eye breaks down more quickly. For the health of the eye tissue, it is necessary to continuously lubricate it with a tear film.
Due to eye surgery or eye injuries, physiological tear secretion may be reduced. However, adequate and continuous lubrication is necessary for the regeneration of the surface tissues of the eye. The application of HYLO-COMOD provides long-lasting moisture to the cornea and conjunctiva so that the physiological healing process is effectively supported.
HYLO-COMOD contains the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the eye but also in other parts of the body. Due to its special physical properties, it forms a stable, long-lasting, continuous moist lubricating film on the ocular surface that is not easily removed. However, this film does not cause blurring of vision and protects the eyes from dryness and irritation for a long time.
This is especially important if you wear contact lenses, because they need to be immersed in enough tear fluid to avoid discomfort. You can use HYLO-COMOD while wearing contact lenses. Wearing hard or soft contact lenses will be more comfortable if you use HYLO-COMOD because it does not create encrustations or residues.
HYLO-COMOD is preservative-free and is therefore generally well tolerated. In addition, HYLO-COMOD does not contain phosphates, thus avoiding complications such as residues in the cornea.
The COMOD system on the market releases 10 ml of solution equivalent to approximately 300 drops. For technical reasons, once the liquid has finished, a small amount remains in the bottle.
You can use HYLO-COMOD for an unlimited period of time.
The HYLO-COMOD bottle is strictly personal, do not allow other people to use it.
How to apply HYLO-COMOD?
Figure 1: Remove cap before use.
Figure 2: Before the first application, turn the bottle upside down with the dropper facing down and press on the bottom of the bottle to release the first drop from the dropper. The bottle is now ready for use for subsequent applications. Hold the bottle upside down by placing your thumb on the top of the bottle and your other fingers on the bottom of the bottle.
Figure 3: Support the hand holding the bottle with your free hand.
Figure 4: Tilt your head back slightly, press quickly and forcefully on the bottom of the bottle. This activates the mechanism for the release of ONE drop . Thanks to the special valve mechanism of the COMOD System, the size and speed of release of a drop are always the same, regardless of the pressure applied.
Close your eyes slowly to allow the fluid to spread over the surface of the eye.
Figure 5: After use, immediately close the bottle with the cap, making sure that there are no liquid residues on the dropper. During instillation, avoid any contact between the dropper of the bottle and the eye or the skin of the face.
What other information do you need to know?
If using other eye drops, at least 30 minutes must pass between applications and HYLOCOMOD must always be used last. However, any eye ointments must always be applied after using HYLO-COMOD.
Since it does not contain preservatives, HYLO-COMOD is well tolerated even when used for a long period of time. In very rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions such as burning or excessive tearing have occurred which ended immediately with the suspension of the use of HYLO-COMOD.
HYLO-COMOD can be used in pediatric age, during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Frequency and duration of use of HYLO-COMOD
Use HYLO-COMOD in accordance with the instructions provided by your doctor or specialist who prescribed your contact lenses. Generally, apply one drop of HYLO-COMOD three times a day in each eye. Use the product more frequently if necessary. If you use HYLO-COMOD more frequently (for example more than 10 times a day), contact your ophthalmologist. HYLO-COMOD is suitable for long-term treatment. As with all problems, consult your ophthalmologist if they persist.
When not to use HYLO-COMOD?
Do not use HYLO-COMOD in case of hypersensitivity to one of the excipients.
Necessary information on the storage of HYLO-COMOD
Store at room temperature.
HYLO-COMOD can be used for 6 months after opening.
