Description
Hylo Dual Intense is a sterile, preservative-free solution for ophthalmic use. It is used for the intensive therapeutic lubrication of the dry ocular surface and for the stabilization of the tear film. It relieves inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning.
Burning and itching in the eyes, tearing, the sensation of a foreign body in the eyes or dryness are symptoms of an irritated eye. These signs often indicate that the eye is not sufficiently hydrated. Thanks to the double mechanism of action of sodium hyaluronate and ectoine, the application of Hylo Dul Intense, in these cases, is particularly beneficial. The product contains the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance present in many organs of the human body, including the eye. It has the particular physical characteristic of forming a uniform, stable and long-lasting wetting film that is not easily removed after rinsing. Thanks to these bioadhesive characteristics, the cornea and conjunctiva are protected and ensure, together with natural tears, a better glide of the eyelid on the eye. Hylo Dual Intense has a particularly high content of sodium hyaluronate, which gives it high viscosity. The eye is thus provided with a soothing moisturizing film that acts particularly intensively and over a long period of time. Persistent or more severe complaints are alleviated and the eye is protected against further irritation. Ectoin is a natural substance extracted from microorganisms that live in extreme environments (such as salt lakes). To protect themselves from extreme environmental factors, these microorganisms produce ectoin, a natural substance whose special properties are used in Hylo Dual Intense. Ectoin increases the adhesion of water to the cells of the ocular surface, thus creating a physiological barrier on the conjunctiva. At the same time, ectoin stabilizes the fat-soluble portion of the tear film, which protects against excessive evaporation of tears. The interaction between sodium hyaluronate and ectoin creates a dense moisturizing film on the eye that protects against evaporation of tears over a long period of time. Hylo Dual Intense relieves typical inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning caused by environmental irritants.

How to use
Remove the cap before use. To remove the cap, hold it in place with one hand and with the other, turn the bottle downwards. Before the first application of Hylo Dual Intense, turn the bottle upside down with the dropper facing downwards and press on the bottom of the bottle to release the first drop from the dropper. The bottle is now ready for use for subsequent applications. Hold the bottle upside down by placing your thumb on the top of the bottle and your other fingers on the bottom of the bottle. Support the hand holding the bottle made with the Comod technique with your free hand. Tilt your head back slightly, gently pull your lower eyelid downwards with your free hand and press quickly and forcefully on the bottom of the bottle. This activates the mechanism for releasing a drop. Thanks to the special valve mechanism of the Comod system, the size and speed of release of a drop are always the same, regardless of the pressure applied. Close your eyes slowly to allow the fluid to spread evenly over the ocular surface. After use, immediately close the bottle with the cap, making sure there is no liquid residue on the dropper. During instillation, avoid any contact between the dropper of the bottle and the eye or the skin of the face.
The Comod system releases 10 ml of solution, equivalent to approximately 300 drops. For technical reasons, a small amount of solution always remains in the bottle after use. The use of Hylo Dual Intense has no time limit.
Hylo Dual Intense should be used in accordance with these instructions for use or in individual cases, as directed by your doctor. In general, for adults and children over 6 years of age, apply 1 drop of Hylo Dual Intense 3 times a day into the conjunctival sac of each eye.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding and in children under 12 years Hylo Dual Intense should not be administered more than 10 times a day.

Components
1 ml of Hylo Dual Intense contains 2 mg sodium hyaluronate, 20 mg ectoine, boric acid, borax and water for injections.

Warnings
Use only if the outer packaging is sealed and intact before use.
It is advisable that the bottle is intended for the treatment of one person only.
If using any other eye drops, wait at least 30 minutes between applications and always use Hylo Dual Intense last. Eye ointments, however, should not be used when using Hylo Dual Intense.
Since Hylo Dual Intense eye drops do not contain preservatives, long-term treatment is particularly well tolerated. Hypersensitivity reactions (burning, excessive tearing) have been observed in very rare cases, which, however, disappear immediately when the administration of Hylo Dual Intense is stopped.
Hylo Dual Intense cannot be used while wearing contact lenses: due to the viscosity of the preparation, application of the product may result in temporary blurring of vision.
Currently, there is no information available on the use of Hylo Dual Intense in children or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Based on current knowledge, Hylo Dual Intense can be used in children over 6 years of age or during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Hylo Dual Intense is suitable for long-term use; however, as with any other condition, if the symptoms persist (for example, more than two weeks), it is advisable to consult an ophthalmologist.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to one of the components and in children under 6 years.
If you use Hylo Dual Intense more frequently (for example more than 10 times a day) or in case of more serious complaints, you should consult an ophthalmologist to have your eyes examined regularly.
Do not use while wearing contact lenses.
Do not use after expiration date.
Keep out of reach of children.
