Ialuvit

Solution with a high content of sodium hyaluronate (0.5%) which, thanks to its mucomimetic and pseudoplastic properties, is distributed uniformly on the ocular surface forming a protective viscoelastic bandage. In this way, Ialuvit stabilizes the tear film and reduces friction and stress caused by blinking and eye movements. Cyanocobalamin and taurine, respectively a B vitamin and an amino acid, are physiologically present in the tissues of the anterior segment of the eye and, together with hyaluronic acid, are able to assist the re-epithelialization process of the corneal surface.
Ialuvit is formulated in a hypotonic solution to counterbalance any hyperosmolarity of the tear film and, thanks to its particular saline composition, restores and maintains at physiological levels the concentrations of important ions, such as sodium, potassium and magnesium, essential for the well-being of the ocular surface.

How to use
Ialuvit should be dosed individually according to your condition and according to the recommendations of your eye doctor. In general, instill 1-2 drops of the solution into the conjunctival sac of each eye 3-4 times a day.
To reduce the risk of contamination of the product during use, it is advisable to open the aluminum pouch only in case of immediate subsequent use of the product.
Detach a single vial from the strip.
To open the bottle, remove the top flap by rotating it, taking care to place it on a clean surface so that it can be reused to close the bottle again.
Instill 1-2 drops in each eye, letting them fall from above and avoiding the bottle touching the eyelashes or the ocular surface.
Close the bottle by inserting the flap immediately after application.
Ialuvit can also be used when wearing contact lenses.

Components

Warnings
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the components or other closely related chemical substances.
For external use only. Ialuvit should not be used immediately before the administration of medicinal products for curative purposes, and within ten minutes after the application of any topical drug therapy.
In rare cases, slight blurring of vision has been observed upon instillation, which is due to the viscosity of the solution. This sensation, however, disappears very quickly.
In rare cases, intolerance (burning sensation and/or irritation) may occur, but this is inconsequential and does not require treatment modification. However, it is advisable to contact your eye doctor if the symptoms persist. Following the instructions in the leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
Do not use the preparation after the expiry date indicated on the package.
Keep out of reach of children.
The red color of the solution is due to the presence of cyanocobalamin and is not an indication of product alteration. If used in conjunction with contact lenses, the ophthalmic solution may cause a coloration; this is only temporary and does not cause any type of damage to the lens itself.

Conservation
Store at a temperature between 2°C and 25°C.
Validity after opening: 24 months.
