Description
Gerdoff is a mechanical medical device that allows you to quickly reduce symptoms related to gastroesophageal reflux, such as: heartburn, epigastric pain, acid regurgitation, irritative cough, dysphonia. Also useful in the symptomatic treatment of hyperacidity (occasional heartburn and pain).
Gerdoff is an original and innovative combination of Chondroitin Sulphate, Hyaluronic Acid and Aluminum Hydroxide. It contributes to the protective effect against the irritating action of hydrochloric acid produced by the stomach. The tablet form, to be dissolved initially in the mouth, stimulates salivation which allows for better contact of the components with the esophageal wall and promotes its protection and lubrication. Chondroitin Sulphate, adhering to the gastroesophageal mucosa, protects it by effectively isolating it from the attack of gastric juices. Hyaluronic Acid, in combination with the adhesive properties of Chondroitin Sulphate, protects the damaged esophageal tissue and promotes its reintegration. Aluminum Hydroxide acts as an antacid, reducing the aggressiveness of gastric juices towards the damaged mucosa.
Ingredients
Chondroitin sulphate, sodium salt, sucrose, aluminium hydroxide, calcium carbonate; anti-caking agents: mono-di-tri-glycerides of fatty acids, silicon dioxide, high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate; flavouring; sweetener: ammonium glycyrrhizinate.
Gluten free.
Without lactose and derivatives.
How to use
Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 tablets after main meals and at bedtime, or as needed in case of symptoms such as pain and heartburn, according to medical advice.
Children over 6 years: it is recommended to use the product only after consulting your doctor. 1 tablet, after main meals and/or at bedtime, or as needed in case of symptoms such as pain and heartburn. If necessary, the tablet can be divided in half, using the pre-break line.
The tablets should initially be dissolved in the mouth and then chewed. Their intake can also be followed by the ingestion of water or milk.
Warnings
Prolonged use of the product, due to the astringent action of aluminum, may cause constipation.
Use the product during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting your doctor.
The product contains aluminum, which may interfere with the concomitant intake of medications, citrates may increase the absorption of aluminum.
It is advisable not to take any medicines 1 hour before and 2 hours after using the product and only after consulting your doctor.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
If adverse reactions occur, stop treatment and consult your doctor.
After a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor.
The product contains sucrose, this should be taken into account in diabetic patients.
Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package.
Keep out of reach of children.
Contraindicated in cases of renal insufficiency, hypophosphatemia and known hypersensitivity to one of the components.
