Food for special medical purposes.
Indicated for the dietary management of Chronic Kidney Failure (CRF). Indicated for the dietary management of phenylketonuria. Indicated for the dietary management of Parkinson's disease (under levodopa therapy). The product's composition makes it suitable for all three patient categories.
Specifically, the product has been specifically formulated with ingredients low in protein, sodium, phosphorus, and potassium to meet the nutritional needs of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The product also contains a reduced phenylalanine content for the dietary management of patients with phenylketonuria (PKU). Furthermore, thanks to its limited protein content, the product is also suitable for the dietary management of patients with Parkinson's disease treated with levodopa, as it does not interfere with the absorption of this amino acid. Patients treated with levodopa should be assessed for dysphagia and any malnutrition issues that may arise under protein restriction.
Ingredients
Apricot filling 36% (glucose-fructose syrup, apricot puree 25%, sucrose; thickener: pectin; acidifier: citric acid; preservative: potassium sorbate; flavourings), gluten-free wheat starch, sugar, vegetable fats and oils (shea butter, sunflower oil), corn starch, rice flour, egg yolk, caramelised sugar; thickeners: xanthan gum, locust bean gum; vegetable fibres (inulin, beetroot), flavourings.
May contain lupin, milk, nuts, soy .
