Food for special medical purposes.
Indicated for the dietary management of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Indicated for the dietary management of Phenylketonuria. Indicated for the dietary management of Parkinson's disease (under Levodopa therapy). Due to its composition, the product is suitable for all three categories of patients. Specifically: the product has been specially formulated with ingredients with reduced protein, sodium, phosphorus, and potassium content to meet the nutritional needs of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease; the product's composition also has a reduced phenylalanine content for the dietary management of individuals with Phenylketonuria. Furthermore, thanks to its limited protein content, the product is also suitable for the dietary management of patients with Parkinson's Disease undergoing Levodopa treatment, as it does not interfere with the absorption of this amino acid. For patients on Levodopa therapy, the degree of any dysphagia and potential malnutrition issues that may arise under protein restriction should be evaluated.
Ingredients
Corn starch, potato starch, inulin; emulsifier: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids; safflower.
May contain: milk, eggs, soy, lupin, cereals containing gluten.
Nutritional characteristics
Instructions for use
Cook the pasta in abundant boiling water (about 1 litre per 100g of pasta), stir and boil for the time indicated on the package or until cooked to your preference. Drain and rinse under cold water.
Cooking time: 4-6 minutes.
Warnings
The product must be used under medical supervision and cannot be used as a sole source of nourishment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources and light.
Shelf life unopened: 36 months.
