Amaranth ( Amaranthus ) is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Amaranthaceae family and native to Central and South America, where it was already cultivated by pre-Columbian civilizations.
The Aztecs called it "the mysterious grain" or "grain of the Gods".

How to use
It is used for soups, croquettes, sweet or savoury flans.
It is also excellent combined with other cereals. Even just for its properties it can be added to any cereal-based preparation: alone it can complete a soup, with rice it makes the dish crispier, with wheat it becomes a nutritious dish, it sweetens barley and spelt while with millet it becomes almost a cream on which to spread vegetables or legumes.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources.
